La Chiesa di Santa Lucia - Gallicano

Edificio risalente al XII secolo, a cui era annesso un monastero dipendente dalla Abbazia di Frassinoro fondato dalla Contessa Matilde. Nel 1164 l'imperatore Federico Barbarossa, conferma a Willelmo, abate di Frassinoro, i diritti anche su questa Badia. La Chiesa, costruita in muratura a filaretto, è ad un'unica navata con abside semicircolare. Nel XVIII secolo, in seguito ai danni di un terremoto, furono ricostruite parti del paramento murario. All'interno dell'edificio si conserva una scultura lignea policroma raffigurante Santa Lucia del XVI secolo.




A twelfth-century building adjoining a monastery under the jurisdiction of the Abbey of Frassinoro founded by Contess Matilde. In 1164 the Emperor Frederick "Barbarossa" granted Willelmo, Abbot of Frassinoro, with the rights over this site, too.
The stonework church has a single nave with a semicircular apse. In the eighteenth century,, following an earthquake, parts of the wall covering were rebuilt. The interior still contains a polychrome wood-carving representing St. Lucy, dating sixteenth century.
